This piece in two parts was created since the traditional Japanese melody Shingetsu coming from the corpus of Koten Honkyoku from the Kinko school of Shakuhachi.
The expresisveness of the piece is in all respects dynamic, with constants inflections of tone and tempo, reminiscent of bamboo.
The harmony used in the piece is derived directly from the intervals of one and four semitones, typical of the original Shingetsu.
Apart from the two movements the internal structure is circular, with a non-directional discourse that provides a great wealth of elements expressed coherently and concordantly.

"Una autèntica elasticitat i llibertat de tempos proveïts d’una gran riquesa rítmica, donen continuïtat a un comportament sonor coherent i molt ben estructurat"
