Although Albéniz hasn’t composed music for guitar music has attracted interest from the guitarists from early times. The first adaptations of music by Albéniz for guitar are almost contemporaneous with the original versions for piano. The most known versions were composed for Segovia. Now Javier Riba takes us this careful arrangement of the Almería of the Iberia suite by Albéniz. Riba has adopted the style and resources of the guitar at the time. Their ideas about the interpretation of this music can be seen in the CD.

Quisiera destacar de esta obra la situación compleja y comprometida que supone la notación en tres pentagramas de ciertos pasajes de la pieza que Javier Riba ha solventado transportando la obra a una tonalidad en la que al llegar a estos pasajes se puedan utilizar cuerdas al aire en la guitarra.

Sin duda, esto es otra manera de acercarse a la música de Albéniz desde la guitarra. Para mí la que mejor resultado da. Vaya curre te pegaste Javi, y qué bonito te suena. Yo estuve allí, y fue un concierto-conferencia sobre Albéniz magnífico. Gracias por todo. Un abrazo y a seguir p'alante.
