This score will help to set straight a regrettable situation that sympathisers and fans of Spanish opera have had to put up with for many years. El caserío, a comic operetta in three acts with libretto by Federico Romer and Guillermo Fernández Shaw and music by Jesús Guridi, is one of those works that despite its perfect composition has never obtained the recognition of producers (old and new) but which, curiously enough, is admired by the immense majority of sensitive fans.
