This is a work of great merit for two reasons. Firstly, for its clarity, simplicity and concision with which they are presented and understandable to the general public, not necessarily versed in music, a set of ideas that some of the traditional flamencology seems that still does not recognize. Furthermore, the author, Gregorio Valderrama, tireless scholar, a passionate bibliophile and collector of old and rare recordings of flamenco. The confluence of these unique features has made possible the realization of this work, no doubt, is destined to become an accessible, while intelligent and well-documented introduction to the study of flamenco.
