Rafael Crest was organist at the convent of Saint Augustine at the turn of the XVII and XVIII centuries. This convent was torn down in 1717 on order of Felipe V in order to build the citadel in Barcelona, being rebuilt in present day location of the Church of Saint Augustine, dedicated in 1750. The convent was abandoned and torn down in 1835.
