Ernest Martínez-Izquierdo

He began his studies at the Conservatory of Barcelona, and completed them with Pierre Boulez in Paris. Martínez has been achieved selection by the III and V Young Composer’s Tribunes at the Juan March Foundation, and by the Musicians’ Accord Foundation in New York. Currently, he conducts the ensemble "Barcelona 216", which specialises in contemporary music. He was the titular conductor of OBC until 2006.
