Montserrat Gascón CastilloBorn in Barcelona, Montserrat Gascón studied flute with Salvador Gratacós in her hometown and with Willy Freivogel in Stuttgart, Germany. She also participated in various courses led by renowned flutists such as Jean-Pierre Rampal, Alain Marion, Wilbert Hazelzet, and Marc Hantaï, among others. Her repertoire spans from Baroque and Classical music played on period instruments to contemporary pieces, including premieres of compositions by Joan Guinjoan, Salvador Brotons, Joan Albert Amargós, Josep Soler, Luis de Pablo, Consuelo Díez, and Tomás Marco, many of which were dedicated to her.
